Re: Trails at Hiawatha « Result #2 on Jan 31, 2008, 8:03pm »
This city rocks for bike riding. there are killer trails built everywhere. It mostly depends on your riding style. Aggro trails, Dirt jump oriented, XC trails... or slopestyle/freeride... The bike community is not so tight nit here tho. I keep my trails secret so they don't attract attention and dont get torn down. the latest victim is Anich Rd. at the top of Goulais Ave. It was a short and sweet DH trail with a few berms, table tops, a natural pump track, and huge ass jump at the bottom if you got the cojones... After 5 years of digging and building, more and more people found out and bye bye Anich Rd. Trails...
I'm gonna stick to Hiawatha and start a new site with some North Shore style stunts... complete with wall ride and teeter totter...

looking for some places to climb! « Result #6 on Oct 15, 2006, 10:19am »
Hi,
I've been checking out this site for a while, and I think that it's an awesome idea.
I'm new to the area, and i was wondering if any one could give me some ideas on where there are some interesting climbs, or where to go and get that information, or if there are any books on the area? I have a friend coming out from Calgary who is an experienced rock/ice climber and i want to show off what this area has to offer! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am planning a run of the coastal trail in lake superior park, possibly in late August. I have heard of other runners doing this trek non-stop before and wondered if anyone knows any of any helpful details...total time taken or any other logistical info. Thanks.
